This is a view from the southeast corner of the Peach Orchard looking south from where Longstreet's attack on Day 2 would have approached. The Peach Orchard is on one of the many small rises on the main field. The ridge that extends from Devil's Den through the Wheat field does end here. However, the rise in terrain is barely sufficient to hide infantry. It is not a formidable position.

Panning right, looking southwest, one can see the War Department tower (T) just above the tree line.

Looking West, the artillery was apparently deployed on the top of the ridge. One can barely see the land dropping beyond the guns, and to the left.
