This was taken about two thirds of the way from the Virginia Monument (VL) to the right flank of Sickle's advanced position. Again, a shallow slope is visible. This "ridge" was part of Sickles' stronger forward position, and also helped obscure part of the Pickett's advance the next day.

Panning left of the prior shot, one can see the Pennsylvania Monument. On the very right edge of this picture, is the grass strip of "Sickle's Hole." This picture gives a pretty good feel for how far Sickles stretched his initiative and orders.
