US Battleships by State

(Plus Alaska Class)

This page was fairly quickly put together. It attempts to provide links to interesting pages on each ship. However, I spent only a few minutes searching per ship, and got tired of the process before finishing the page. If I found nothing interesting, I defaulted to the USS Salem page. They have a reasonable entry for every ship of the battleship era, and many others before and since. Still, all I really did was go to my favorite search engine, MetaCrawler, and type in a search on "uss statename number bb." If a ship isn't listed on this page, or the link below is broken, try Meta Crawler or USS Salem.

DANFS Online provides a complete if brief history and numbers set for each ship. When available, I am linking to other sources that may or may not be an improvement. I am not going to be frequntly visiting this list to see that the links are still hot. Catch as catch can. :-)

USS Salem - The Salem, in addition to being a WW II heavy cruiser museum, is also the US national ship building

Jmea has another good battleship chart.
